At Dynankle, we want every walker to be satisfied with their purchase of walking club products. This Return Policy outlines the conditions under which you may return or exchange memberships, weekend walk passes, and trail essentials kits purchased through dynankle.world or directly from our Wellington base.
General Return Conditions
All return requests must be initiated within the timeframes specified below for each product category. To begin a return, contact us via our contact form or visit our office at 121 Tauhinu Road, Wellington 6022, New Zealand with your proof of purchase.
Returned items must be in their original condition, unused, and accompanied by all included components. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions or that show signs of use, damage, or alteration.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within ten business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item. Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
Trail Essentials Kit Returns
The Trail Essentials Kit, including the day pack, refillable water bottle, rain cover, and trail map set, may be returned within fourteen days of purchase or delivery. All kit components must be unused, in original packaging, and free from damage or wear.
If you receive a kit with missing components, manufacturing defects, or damage incurred during shipping, contact us within seven days of receipt. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost, including return shipping where applicable.
Exchanges for a different pack size (standard 18L or large 28L) are available within the fourteen-day return window, subject to stock availability. Contact us to arrange an exchange before returning your current kit.
Weekend Walk Pass Returns
Weekend Walk Passes may be refunded in full if no walks have been used and the return request is made within fourteen days of purchase. Once any walk on the pass has been redeemed, the pass is considered partially used and is not eligible for a full refund.
Partially used walk passes may be eligible for a prorated refund at our discretion, calculated based on the number of unused walks remaining and the original purchase price. Passes that have expired beyond their three-month validity period are not eligible for refund.
Gift walk passes follow the same return conditions. The original purchaser must initiate the return request. Gift recipients may exchange an unused pass for an alternative product of equal value within the return window.
Annual Membership Returns
Annual Club Membership purchases may be cancelled and refunded in full if the cancellation request is made within fourteen days of purchase and the member has not attended any guided walks or member events. Welcome pack items included with membership must be returned unopened and in original condition.
After the fourteen-day cooling-off period, or once any membership benefit has been used, refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis for the remaining unused months of membership. A processing fee of NZ$15.00 may apply to mid-term membership cancellations to cover administrative costs.
Membership refunds do not apply to members whose membership has been terminated due to conduct violations as outlined in our Terms of Use.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items and circumstances are not eligible for return or refund:
- Digital trail guides and map downloads that have been accessed or downloaded
- Personalised or custom-configured gear items ordered to specific requirements
- Products damaged due to misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear after use on trails
- Expired weekend walk passes beyond their three-month validity period
- Membership benefits that have been fully consumed during the membership period
- Items purchased during final sale or clearance promotions marked as non-returnable
Defective Products
If you believe a product purchased from Dynankle is defective, contact us immediately with a description of the issue and photographs where applicable. We will assess the claim and, if confirmed, offer a repair, replacement, or full refund at our discretion.
Defective product claims must be reported within thirty days of purchase for gear items. Manufacturing defects discovered after thirty days may be covered under the manufacturer's warranty where applicable. We will assist you in navigating warranty claims for branded components within our trail essentials kits.
How to Initiate a Return
To start a return or exchange, follow these steps:

- Receive a return authorisation and instructions from our team within two business days
- Package the item securely in its original packaging with all components included
- Ship or deliver the item to 121 Tauhinu Road, Wellington 6022, New Zealand, or arrange in-person drop-off at our office
- Receive confirmation and refund processing within ten business days of our receipt and inspection
Consumer Guarantees
Under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, you are entitled to products that are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description. If our walking club products fail to meet these guarantees, you may be entitled to a remedy regardless of the timeframes stated above. Contact us to discuss your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Nothing in this Return Policy limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act or any other applicable New Zealand consumer protection legislation.
